Problems With Your Kit
When you open any of our PDF's they may appear blank, have unusual characters, or perhaps you can't open them, There are two possible causes.
1) You are not running the latest Adobe reader. Click here to get the free reader for Mac or PC.
2) Mac user? PDFs may appear blank if you use the previewer. Please ensure you fully open the PDF in Adobe.
In the unlikely event these steps don't rectify the problem you can try opening the attachments on a different computer. Try a partner's, friend's or work computer.
If you are unable to find anyone who can assist you, consider upgrading to a hard copy kit by paying the difference. We'll print and post everything to you. Contact us for more information.
Hotmail almost always sends our emails to your junk folder. Customers complaining of non-delivery have almost always received their kit. Please search your junk folder for emails from 'email@example.com', also check your deleted folder.
If you can't find the email containing your kit, login here, then click the 'downloads' link at the top right corner.
Your kit may contain 10-30 different files, so we bundle them all into a single zip attachment. Almost all computers include an unzipping program. Double click or right click the attachment and chose to extract or save the file to your desktop or another known location on your computer. If you don't have an unzipping program you can download zipeg or a trial version of Winzip for free.
As there are hundreds of thousands of companies in Canada, we are unable to provide name change procedures for all of them. We have selected the top 600 organisations as these typically represent 90-95% of the companies an individual needs to notify. If there is an organisation you believe is missing please let us know.
We review and add new organisations periodiacally, so we may be unable to add your organisation straight away. We have provided blank letters and faxes for situations where you may need to notify a company we don't have listed.
Each customer has a unique combination of organizations to notify. Depending on the companies you select, you may only get a couple letters or forms, or you may get a whole pile! We research the exact requirements for each organization so that you get the correct name change information and documents every time.
While we'd love to send all customers a letter or form for each company, we can only do so if that is the researched and correct name change process. Otherwise you would have a bunch of rejected letters. We explain the full name change process for all your selected organizations in the personalized checklist, some companies may require an email, phone call or for you to visit a branch in person.
Easy Name Change kits are a once off purchase. Once they have been emailed your transaction is considered completed. Some customers may enter data incorrectly and only notice after checkout. All customer data is used in your kit EXACTLY as entered by the customer. Spelling and other mistakes in your personal details are a result of customer data entry. If you need to make any changes, such as the spelling or order of your name/s, postal address, date on letters, or need to add more companies, you can make as many or few changes as necessary for a flat $5 admin fee. Simply log back in with the same username and password, make the changes and then enter promo code FIXUP.
Need to change a premium kit? Log back in and make the necessary changes, then email us. We'll send you a special code to use where you can generate a replacement kit for $20. We will print and post a new kit to you.
Just have a small change? Consider crossing out the error and handwriting it onto each printed letter - companies will accept these amended letters.
Perhaps it has taken longer than expected to post your letters and now the date printed on your letter has passed. Our files are created and sent in PDF, so unfortunately it's not possible to amend on a PC before printing. You can either regenerate your kit with changes for a $5 admin fee, or hand write over the date after printing.
To regenerate your kit log back in with the same username and password, make the changes and then enter promo code FIXUP. Your updated kit will be emailed immediately upon payment. A better solution may be to cross out the date in pen after printing and write on the new date. Companies won't mind this change and will change your name all the same.
If you can view your documents, but are unable to print, the issue lies with your system configuration. Can you print other documents? Next, check the page setup before printing - do you have the correct sized paper selected? Next you could try re-installing your print driver.
If you are still unable to print ask a friend or relative if they could print the documents for you, or you could save the files onto a USB stick and visit a staples store. You can also upgrade to a hard copy kit where we print all your documents and post to your door. Reply to any of our emails for more information about upgrading.
