Problems With Your Kit
I'm a hotmail user. Where's my kit?
Hotmail almost always sends our emails to your junk folder. In 99% of cases you have already received your kit. Please search your junk folder for emails from 'firstname.lastname@example.org'. Alternativley, login with your email address and system generated password (emailed on registration) and you will immediatley be directed to the downloads page where you can click a link to download your kit.
My PDF's are blank or jumbled
When you open our PDF's they may appear blank or jumbled. The correct information is on the pdf but you are unable to view it due to your system configuration;
1) You're not running the latest Adobe reader. Click here to get the free reader for Mac or PC.
2) Mac user? PDFs may appear blank if you use the previewer. Ensure you fully open the PDF in Adobe.
My PDFs are incomplete
When you open our documents you may see some letters that only have the company's address and the rest of the document is blank. This document is a mailing slip and has been provided alongside that company's speicific name change form. The mailing slip is formatted to slide into a window envelope when sending that form to the company. We always recommend printing and reading the Easy Name Change Checklist first, as it will clarify which documents go together and what each company's name change procedure is. In some cases, the PDF letters or forms are optional - the checklist will list all name change procedures each company allows.
I don't know how to open the attachment
Your kit may contain anywhere from 5, up to perhaps 40 different files. For ease of delivery and email navigation we bundle all your notification letters, faxes and forms into a single attachment using a zip program. Almost all computers include an unzipping program. Double click or right click the attachment and chose to 'extract' or 'unzip' the file to a folder on your desktop. If you don't have an unzipping program you can download zipeg or Winzip for free.
I need to make changes to my kit
As stated alongside the 'finalize and send' button, Easy Name Change kits are a once off purchase. Once payment is made your transaction is considered completed. Customers who enter data incorrectly may only notice after receiving their kit. Because our system is 100% automated, it processes information exactly as entered by the customer. This means any errors in your personal information are a result of customer data entry.
For a $5 admin fee, you can make any changes to your kit and have it regenerated by email. Print & Post customers can pay $20 for a new kit to be delivered by mail. Any number of changes are possible, for exampe, the spelling or order of your name/s, postal address, date on letters, or you can add more companies.
To change your kit, contact customer service who will provide you with an upgrade code. Log into Easy Name Change with your email address and password, make the necessary changes, then pay only the upgrade value by using the code provided.
If your change is minor you may consider simply crossing out the error and handwriting the correction onto each printed letter. Companies will accept letters amended in handwriting.
