Florida Credit Union customers need to attend a branch in person with updated photo ID and one of the following:
- Marriage certificate, or
- Divorce decree, or
- Court order
Update the SSA & DMV first
The first organization updated should be the SSA, followed by the DMV. Attend an SSA location to file the name change form. We provide the SSA name change form and list what proof documents to take in your Easy Name Change kit.

Allow a few days for the name change to be visible to other agencies, then attend a DMV office in person. If your state has a form we include it in your kit.
Update financial accounts
Most banks and credit unions want to see updated photo ID before they change your account, so get these done soon after your photo ID.
