Customers usually already have their proof of name change, such as their marriage certificate or legal name change certificate. If not, we can provide application forms and details on how to apply (certificate application fees not included). 

No name change kit can save you from visiting one or two places in person (most banks and your driver’s licence),  but we provide any applicable forms and explain exactly what’s required so you’ll save time!

Companies have a range of procedures to follow, so depending on the companies selected you’ll likely receive a number of ready to send forms, ready to send letters and ready to forward emails. Each notification is pre-addressed to each company, so simply attach the supporting documents and send!

Each kit comes with a company checklist which explains the name change process for each of your chosen organisations. Use this to know what to send where and keep track of your progress!

Printed kit customers receive their kit by mail. It comes in a handy folder with 3 pre-paid envelopes and any extra envelopes needed.

Certified kit customers save the most time! We provide a consultation call to review the proof needed. Return your signed notifications in the registered post envelope, then we check, certify and lodge! All proof documents are securely returned.

Once you have official proof of your new name from Births, Deaths and Marriages there is generally no special order to which places should be updated first. Due to privacy policies, no records are linked between government departments or companies.

Only about 5 companies in our database require updated photo ID to be provided. Check the proof documents listed on each notification to know if you need to update your photo ID first.

All kits contain exactly the same notifications (forms, letters, emails), your personalised company checklist and Easy Name Change guide. All kits are emailed and available for download. 

The only difference for the Print & Post kit (you guessed it… ) is that it’s also printed and mailed to you! It comes in a handy folder with all your forms and letters, the company checklist and guide. We provide 3 prepaid envelopes plus more envelopes if needed (additional stamps not included).

Certified kit customers save the most time. Our name change specialist reviews the proof documents needed based on your chosen companies and name change reason. We provide an initial consultation call to review these documents and learn where you are at in the process. Your kit is mailed and includes a registered post envelope for the safe return of your signed notifications and proof. We check, certify and lodge your forms. Original proof is returned within 2 working days and includes 3 additional J.P. certified copies for your later use.

Companies have strict privacy policies. They need to ensure changes to your account have been authorised by the account holder. Easy Name Change staff are not listed on all your various accounts as your authorised representative. This means that we are not legally allowed to sign documents on your behalf. As a result, any forms we send directly to companies on your behalf would be rejected.

We do the next best thing – we have researched exactly what each of your companies require and have pre-written all your notifications. All you need to do is attach the proof listed, sign and send!

Once you have your marriage or legal name change certificate from Births, Deaths and Marriages, there are generally no other charges.

Companies generally do not charge to update your name in their system. You can expect a fee when an identity document is reissued, such as a replacement CPA certificate or WWC card. Passports are usually free for name changes due to marriage or divorce, otherwise expect to pay for a new passport. 

All third-party fees are the customer’s responsibility. Any fees should be paid directly to the issuing authority and are not included in the cost of your Easy Name Change kit.

We need some basic personal information to create your kit, including old & new names and contact details. Beyond that, it’s up to you how much information you disclose. Don’t want to provide account numbers or DOB? No problem! Leave these questions unanswered and complete offline after receiving your kit. 

We delete your sensitive form data 3 months after you register or 3 months from when you finalised, whichever was most recent.

Your data is held in our world-class Australian servers. As your data is bound by both American and Australian privacy laws, it’s among the best protected data in the world! We never store your credit card number at checkout. All communication is encrypted by SSL. We assign random alpha-numeric passwords to customers to mitigate compromised passwords.
